Thursday, July 8, 11am—Kickoff

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear an explanation of our program and to receive a bag of goodies to use throughout the  summer!




Monday, July 12, 2pm—Biomes Center                                        

Kids will see a live demonstration of marine animals from Narragansett Bay and then have a hands-on experience where they will be able to touch and hold the animals.




Thursday, July 15, 2pm—Steve Brosnihan Cartoonagrams

This is an art lesson that is far from traditional--and far from boring.  Steve encourages active call-and response participation to show kids cartoon characters that are easy to learn to draw.




Monday, July 19, 11am—Magician Debbie O’Carroll       

Award-winning magician Debbie O’Carroll will delight audiences in this participatory magic show created especially for “Make a Splash-Read”.




Thursday, July 22, 11am—Take Two Tandem Tellers

Anne-Marie and Cindy bring the kids a program awash with fun.  Sing and dance to the accordion like ancient seafarers 

and hear folktales from the briny deep.




Monday, July 26, 2pm—Storyteller Thawn Harris               

From the Narragansett Tribal Nation, traditional storyteller Thawn blends the oral history of his family with modern humor and social dances sure to delight audiences young and old.




Thursday,  July 29, 11am—Game Day

Kids will have a chance to try our new video game system and play some old favorites when we pull out board games

and cards.




Monday, August 2, 3pm—RI Pirate Players     ***ages 10+up

Kids will get a feel for life in the early 18th century during this one-hour interactive pirate camp.  The Pirate Players will show tents, cooking equipment, navigation tools, and more.               




Thursday, August 5, 11am—“Bring Back Leatherbacks”  ***ages 8+up

Kids will assume the role of marine biologists as they travel 

through learning stations to identify sea turtles and fill out

stranding reports.  This program also features a life-size Leatherback Sea Turtle model.

Thursday, August 13, 11am—End of Summer Cookout

Come join us for the final program of the summer.  We’ll have great food, play fun games, and give away some terrific prizes!
